Foolish to not know the Devil’s disguise
And to blame my pain on a measly imp.
When I listened to his intricate lies
With no clue about the deceit not scrimped.
Now I see the Serpent in its true form
No longer can it hide its sins from me
But to his rule, no choice I must conform
Lingering, my immortal enemy
I yearn the day I can cut his cold hand
Around the wrist, his grasp inside no more.
No more my heart will he can he command
For I will rise and with white wings will soar
But the time for action’s yet to arrive
So bound by chains am I under his eye
